Relax to true Victorian southern comfort in The Devereaux Shields House, a Queen Anne Victorian Bed and Breakfast located in the beautiful Natchez, Mississippi historic district and listed on the National Historic Register for significant homes. Our Bed & Breakfast includes two properties, the elegant 1893 Queen Anne Victorian main house and the charming 1873 Victorian Aunt Clara's Cottage. The Devereaux Shields House features 6 rooms, two beautifully appointed suite/rooms surrounded by carefully manicured gardens in the main house, and 4 spacious rooms in the cottage with heart pine floors and large veranda.

We pride ourselves on providing guests peaceful, clean, comfortable, luxurious yet practical accommodations at competitive prices in an upscale and historically enriching environment. We are only a few blocks from downtown historic Natchez, MS activities, unique shops, savory eateries, and the 200-foot-high Natchez Bluffs, which offer a stunning view of the Mississippi River.

Stay in our homes and let owners and inn proprietors Ron and Eleanor Fry, make your Natchez, MS visit memorable and experience our personal touch. As one of our guests said, “On your next Natchez visit, be sure to tour the big plantation homes, then come home to the Devereaux Shields House."
